I have to admit I was EXTREMELY reluctant to read TFIOS after being disappointed by Looking for Alaska, but I had nothing to worry about because this was one of the best books I have EVER read. Ever. Period. True, the storyline is so cliché and overused. It’s about a girl named Hazel, who has cancer and goes to this support group for cancer kids. I read this book at the recommendation of one of my good friends. She had emailed me a list of recommendations, and Looking for Alaska was number one. Looking for Alaska is the story of a teenager, Miles “Pudge” Halter, who goes to boarding school in order to spice up his utterly dull life. At boarding school, he rooms with a boy nicknamed “The Colonel” who introduces him to the most beautiful girl Pudge has ever seen, Alaska Young.
